Rome
Termini station is the biggest station in Europe and the first
tangible testimony of the work done with the “Grandi Stazioni”
(Great Stations) programme. .The
renovation project has concerned not only the architectonic
aspect of the station but also the services offered to the
public. Conservative restoration work has been carried out
on the monumental parts of the building, including the redevelopment
of the stairs, lifts, moving walkways and also renovation
work to bring the sign system up to date.

The
Entrance Hall
The entrance hall, which opened in 1950 and has recently been
renovated, enhances the original structure, with masterly
light effects and a brilliant white mosaic tessera. The entrance
hall is known as “del Dinosauro” (the dinosaur) due
to its futuristic curvilinear roof.

The
Mezzanine
The mezzanine can be found under a cascade of mosaic tessera,
an elegant space where one can pass the time pleasantly at
the Bar Autogrill or at the Ciao restaurant.
Along with the refreshment points, the Mezzanine offers a
small but much sought-after shopping area, with TIM
and Benetton points of sale.

The Ticket
Office
Walking into the entrance hall of the station the first thing
you see is the Rome Termini ticket office, which has 25
counters equipped with luminous leds, along with the 52
automatic ticket machines throughout the entire station.

Bookshop
In front of the ticket office, the Termini bookshop,
enclosed in a futuristic ceiling of glass and steel without
corners, designed by the architect Pierluigi Cerri.

Forum
The shopping centre of the station: 12,000 square meters containing
more than 100 shops with a vast range of products,
open 7 days a week from 8.00 to 22.00
without breaks. You can also find a bar, café and the new
big Fast Food Court.

Central Gallery
The Central gallery is the centre of the new station where
visitors can use innovative services such as:
-Travel/vehicle licensing agency
-The FS information points
-A city of Rome tourist information
-The offices of the police and carabinieri
-Telephone services
-Newsagent’s and tobacconist's
Along
the 220 metres which join via Marsala to via Giolitti, you
can find Italian refreshments and the best fast food around.
Next to platform one (primo binario), the Multi Service
gives the public the possibility to:
-Rent
a car, motorcycle or bicycle
-Book
couchettes and sleeping cars
-Change currency
-Check in with Alitalia before boarding the Leonardo
Express for Fiumicino airport.
